Let me say, before I taste narry a sip of this lovely orange elixir, that the 'Ye Olde English' design both tickles and bemuses me. Especially considering the company began in Port Angeles, Washington in 1984. This bottle does not include a backstory, but does include yet another twist cap I cannot remove by hand.
This drink contains an ample amount of carbonation. And while I much prefer a cremeless orange, this is quite good. They certainly don't let the citrus get in the way of the creme, and I'm happy to say it does not taste as much like a dreamsicle as most other orange creme sodas. I quite enjoyed its smooth rich flavour. This soda earned a dandy:

  1. If I lived in England and owned a pub. I think I would serve this and root beer and just trick all my customers into believing that I had alcohol. Then they would be pleasantly satisfied, while still sober enough to feed a lion a rabbit. I would call my pub "I ye olde ain't lyin ryan."
