Sprouts Blood Orange Italian Soda

Ah, here we are with yet another organic orange soda. Normally I would shudder at the thought of that, but this doesn't look half bad. The deep red-orange colour is a new twist from the previous colorless organic attempts at creating a masterpiece. Trying to make an organic soda is like trying to paint Starry Night, or the Mona Lisa with a stick, a knife and red paint. Maybe it's possible, it's at least always interesting, but if you aren't any good, it just won't work. Well, without further ado.

It smells very fresh, much like a grapefruit. It's flavour is very tart, very in-your-face. Or, well, in-your-mouth as it were. Upon shaking the bottle to reduce some of the sedimentation, the flavour is much more balanced and sweet. That had me scared for a moment. It is still quite tart, but much less so than before. It has nice swishability, with little to no stall. That is to be expected with an Italian soda as they are, on the regular, much less syrupy than their American counterparts. Overall, it has quite a good, albeit tart, flavour with quite a nice sum of carbonation. I suggest eating with a nice garlic cheese bread. Sprouts has earned a nice:

  1. If you start drinking natural Italian sodas, where will you get your RDA of 41mg of caffeine, Red 40, and Yellow 6? Blood orange soda with garlic cheese bread sounds mighty yummy though!
